NJ Moms Guide Hosts Preschool and Enrichment Fair
"The fair makes it easy for busy families to meet school directors and acquaint themselves with programs that are right for them," said NJMG co-owner Christina Castro. "The idea came about from my business partner Kate Motz, who realized after speaking to several moms how difficult the decision process can be selecting the right preschool for their child.
"So many moms just did not have the time to attend several open house events and wished they had access to all the schools right under one roof."
Castro said the event has grown each year. While the first consisted of less than 20 participants, this year more than 30 schools and enrichment programs are participating.
"Last year the event drew in over 200 families in the area and we hope to continue to make the event a huge success. The event if free when parents register at www.njmomsguide.com," Castro said.
The event will also offer mini-workshops, including "What is a Montessori School and is it the Right Fit for My Child?" hosted by Christopher Academy.
Castro explained that the fair is a win-win for busy parents as well as schools and extra-curricular programs.
"The attendees love that the event is free and they can take the time to meet with every school director at the event and the participants have come onboard year after year because they know that the families who attend are looking to enroll their child in preschool come September, so it is their ideal target audience," she said.
"The event last year was a great success for Christopher Academy. It allowed us to get quality face time with many families from our surrounding areas and provide them detailed information on our program. We were thrilled to have this opportunity," Amelia McTamaney, owner of the Christopher Academy.
